This is your time to Hire the Heavens! Angels are just waiting to be hired, they want to help no matter how big or small the ask.
Remember – there is no right or wrong way to Hire the Heavens! You can make it as specific or as broad as you like. It can be the most complicated ask or as simple as asking for curtains. Regardless of how you ask, the important thing is that you do it! Hire the Heavens and see just how much they love to help!

Spiritual curtain professional
A sweet occurrence from this evening: Looking for curtain material.
The sales clerk shows me a section.. not right.. So I say quietly to my ‘committee’- the clerk has walked several steps away and cannot hear me: “I want solid material that is translucent and solid color on both sides that would work for curtains and I need lots of colors to choose from”
In that minute the clerk has just come back and says to me: “have you seen the $2 a yard shelf? It is right behind you” And, I turn around
and there are two shelves of exactly the material I am looking for.

There is no right or wrong way to hire a Spiritual Angel Committee
There are so many ways you can talk with your angels/celestial staff. You can write to them, imagine having conversations with them in your head or just think of what you want and ask for help. You can be as organized as you would like or spontaneously ask in the moment. I guarantee your Spiritual Angel Committees are just delighted you’re asking, no matter the method!
I want to provide you with an example. I have known Lee for 30 years and she is one of my dearest friends – family really. She has watched me grow and evolve throughout the years. She took to the idea in my book Hiring the Heavens like a duck to water and has had fabulous success. Here she writes about her first experience with it.
A staff, just a spiritual one
From Lee’s Journal
One July in 2000, I remember having a conversation with Jean Slatter about her spiritual staff. I was working for a large corporation at the time and I joined into that conversation like I knew what she was talking about. I said I know just how that feels. When my staff is doing good work and particularly when that good work is collaborative and mutually supportive that the work process and results felt spiritual.
Nooo! She smiled patiently. I mean spiritual, as in another dimension. Wow! What was she talking about? This I had to know more about. Jean explained that while she was here in this town at a business conference, her staff was managing her phones and appointments back at her office. She had total confidence in them and had excellent results. She provided some more information about how she discovered this work force and how she had begun hiring them.
Now she has a book explaining the background but then it was her experience and enthusiasm that captured my attention.
We are all a bit woo-woo
I was very happy for her but this was Jean and her stock in trade was the unusual, the out of the ordinary, the just this side of woo-woo. I seriously doubted those spiritual helpers would give me the time of day. Now don’t get me wrong I had in the past petitioned St. Christopher to help me make safe trips and St. Anthony to help me find lost items but I had long forgotten those petitions. More importantly, I didn’t even make the connection between my Saint petitions and her hired help of spirits.
About a year later my son’s condition worsened. The events of the September 11, 2001 attack affected his already fragile state in a frightening way. I had already spent a great deal of money paying for doctors but there was never enough money and the results were always mixed. He somehow never qualified for medical aid.
I remembered Jean’s Spiritual Angel Committees
Hiring the Heavens
I spoke to Jean to be clear about the process to hire my committee. I had nothing to lose. I hired a committee to find a Doctor with the skills to most effectively treat my son. We placed many calls to many Doctors over the next 3 weeks. Only one Doctor returned our call. But he was the right Doctor. He began working with my son. He prescribed a medication that helped my son. The medication was $10 per capsule and he needed at least one per day. There were days he needed as many as three capsules.
This expense, Doctor bills and some physical problems in need of treatment were a daunting prospect. I asked the committee for more help in resolving these issues. In the meantime I spent many hours researching and asking for advice. Step by step the solutions began to emerge.
The Doctor convinced the drug manufacturer to provide the medication at no charge. This arrangement was temporary but it bought me some time. He explained that my son’s condition was chronic. I applied for medical help. At my request the Doctor wrote a letter that was accepted to qualify my son for Medical Aid.
The Doctor continued to convince the drug company to provide the medication at no charge. This process was not easy and took about 11 months before the Medical Aid became available. Yet, I am convinced I had a spiritual staff providing superb support.
Over the previous years this heartbreak was the private property of our family. Now I had help – help that could be measured in this physical world. It was wonderful to have help. With a spiritual staff, doors that did not exist in the past appeared and one by one the individual issues were managed. Thank You.
I now have a permanent spiritual staff and many times I have hired many temporary personnel. I am happy to share a couple of my spiritual angel committees with you in hopes that you too would “hire” them. I feel they do a superb job and I wouldn’t want to be without them.

Spiritual Angel Committee to Bless our Shelters
This started for the tenants in our rental cottage. I wanted them to have shelter but also blessings. Now the prayer is for the rental, our home, the home of my daughter, my grandchildren and so on and I ask the blessing include our vehicles.
Dear Committee:
Please infuse a blessing on our home, the land on which it sits including all buildings and structures, all plants and animals and water and air. Please extend this blessing to our vehicles and vehicles in which we are passengers.
Fill these places with light and love, comfort and convenience, safety and security. Let all who enter have a sense they are in a safe, loving place.

In August, I attended the International Dowsing Conference in Vermont with my “partners in light.” We took 7 days of workshops on everything from dowsing for water, to what was in store between now and 2011. Well let me tell you, what an experience. The most powerful message I got was to hire the heavens. Jean Slatter led the class and it was based on her book “Hiring the Heavens,” I personally did not attend the class however one of my partners did and she shared a powerful message.
There are a bunch of guides and angels out there waiting to help, all we have to do is call on them. They want to help but cannot unless we ask. Being a Hypno-therapist and spiritual advisor, I have been telling my clients this for a while, however, somehow I had forgotten to do it myself. I have practiced the Law of Attraction, manifesting my desires, etc. but somehow felt the need to be a control freak and do it all myself. You know, make things happen rather than allow things to happen.
Spiritual committees ready for hire
Since I was gently reminded of this, I started hiring different committees to help speed up and give me a hand on some things that have been challenging. In doing that I just said, “hey I want to hire a committee to help me get the property sold, I want to hire a committee to keep bill collectors off my back until my land sells, I want a committee to help bring my twin soul twin flame to me” then I let go. I did not worry about it or try to force it. I released it and said “whatever”, I trust it will come in the right time and place.
Since doing this, my land in NY is scheduled to close tomorrow morning which means my closing on Celestial Blessings is taking place soon after that. I have met the person I consider to be my Twin Soul/Twin Flame. The bill collectors won’t start to repo and turn me over to the “other collectors” until Oct. 15th, by which time my closing should happen and therefore I will be able to pay them off. So, there you go, ask for help and trust that it is there. Want more? Here’s another one…
Even a spiritual exterminator
So life was going on as usual during Sept. when I noticed mouse droppings in the kitchen. I don’t like mice, so I had begun trapping them in a garbage can with peanut butter in the bottom of it, under my sink (catch and release) – Like 15 in 4 days! When my friend said to me “ why don’t you call on a committee of exterminators?” I said, “well I did not think about that”, so I did.
Do you know that I have not seen or caught a mouse since, not one sign of one and that was over a month ago. Cool huh? Again, all I had to do was ask for the help.
We are living in an awesome time right now. I think there are more spirit beings helping us now than ever. Spend time with yourself and call on your helpers and let them do the work. This will free up your time so that you can help others understand life does not have to be hard and we can have what we want if we work with love and not fear.
Prioritize yourself
Take a few minutes a day for yourself. Figure out what makes you happy. Learn to ask for help to get you to that place of happiness. Oh, money is nice but it does not buy happiness. Happiness is an emotion or a feeling not a material thing.
For the last 2 years I have used the affirmation ‘I have all the money I need to do what ever I need to do’ and guess what, I do. I truly do. I have come from having nothing to having everything I need and want.
My life is becoming more simple and my dreams are being fulfilled. In two days I will have my home paid for and I will be able to have the freedom to explore my next course of action without the stress of mortgage payments or how I will afford my electric and phone bill.
There is always time to start hiring the heavens
One interesting eye opener, a few weeks back I came across a journal I had written in 2000. In there I had entered a reading I had with Eric Larson an excellent reader and astrologer and he told me then “Do not make any decisions without consulting your angels or your guides.” 8 years later, I am finally getting it.
My hope is that you read my story and save yourself 8 years of confusion and uncertainty and decide what you want and “Hire the Heavens” like Jean Slatter teaches. May your life from this point forward move in the direction that brings you love and joy, after all, you do deserve it.

Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely. (Wikipedia)
Serendipity is certainly the best word I can think of to describe the little miracles in our lives. I have heard the word serendipity and enlightenment linked together, and this is certainly what I have experienced when working with the principles in Hiring the Heavens. It is a good word with joy in its meaning. It feels good in the mouth and on the lips. And it definitely feels good when it happens.
Hiring the Heavens creates serendipitous moments
To exemplify how working with the principles in Hiring the Heavens has created the most enlightened and serendipitous moments, I am going to tell you a story about my son and his need for a new computer. An every day task that the Heavens are just yearning to help with!
My son wanted to get a new laptop for college but he kept putting it off knowing the cost would be more than he could afford. He was studying film production and the hardware and software for that industry is not cheap. One day he called me about an ad he saw on Craigslist for a laptop.
“It’s probably too good to be true but could you see what you get for an intuitive hit on this one?” he asked.
Celestial computer sales specialist
I imagined talking to a computer sales specialists in the spiritual realm and asked if this would be a good deal for my son. I immediately got a response that said YES! with a great deal of urgency. I told my son to hang up and get over to the seller’s house without delay.
He was able to buy a complete package with more and better software than he ever hoped of owning for a fourth of the cost. When he called me back I could hear the excitement in his voice. He said that if I hadn’t told him to go immediately he would have missed out on the best deal of his college years.
That’s serendipity.
Take the time to ask
My son had the intuition to look on Craigslist for a laptop. Even though he felt the deal too good to be true, he asked anyways. As I have said before, ask and you shall receive.
These moments of serendipity are everywhere, waiting to occur. Our Divine friends LOVE putting a smile on our face as we get everything we asked for, and oftentimes more! But thats the thing, we do have to ask.

I received this email recently from a friend….
Spiritual maintenance committee
A couple of years ago a watch I love needed a new battery and some additional work. It is a good watch I have worn every day for the 14 years since it was gifted to me. The estimate to complete the work was $350.00. I did not have enough extra money to complete the repairs. I had the battery changed by a local jeweler ($25) and hired a spiritual committee as outlined in Jean’s book, Hiring the Heavens, to keep my watch running for a bit longer until I had the money to repair it. The first week the watch stopped working two times. For the next 9 months the watch would only work while I was wearing it.
Then the most extraordinary thing happened…it just began to keep perfect time all the time. My watch maintenance committee was “hired” 2 years ago. I never expected that my request would be answered in a way that was above and beyond my original intention.
Above and beyond
This spiritual committee did such good work I asked them to take on more and more maintenance. My car is 13 years old and has 223,000 miles. I really need to keep that car running. I began to think of other things around my home and life that needed the benefit of general maintenance so I put together a Maintenance and Operations Committee as written;
Dear Maintenance and Operations Committee: Thank you for all you do everyday to free me from repair activities. Please continue to help. Please keep all aspects of our home, the land on which it sits including all buildings and structures operating in optimum physical condition. Please also include all tools, appliances and electronics. Please keep all services like electricity, water, gas, cable, wireless connections and sewer coming into, within and/or flowing out of this space operating in optimum condition. Please also assure the plants and animals (including the humans) share this space in harmony.
Please keep our vehicles operating in excellent/optimum condition. Please keep all vehicles in which we are passengers operating in excellent/optimum condition.

Ask and you shall receive more than what you asked for
My husband asked a few months ago if I had one of those committee things taking care of his truck. I said yes. He said his truck had not gone so long without needing a repair of some kind.
We do have repairs now and then. Batteries still wear out and my 7- year old laptop finally stopped working. But the two times our car needed repair the vehicle stopped running within a few blocks of our home and the home of a friend. We always do our part; change the oil regularly, replace worn faucet gaskets etc. We did those maintenance tasks in the past but we never had such long spaces between repairs as we now enjoy. It is so nice to have help. My watch is still running perfectly.

Calling All Angels!

When I found myself on my knees in my office crying profusely, it became crystal clear that something needed to change, and it needed to change now. Completely out of control, I knew only an extremely quick and effective solution could get me out of this mess!
When it came to living a balanced life, I’d hit my personal rock bottom. I found myself crying everyday from sheer exhaustion. Working non-stop, I hadn’t taken a day off in a very long time. My career mentors–the people I looked up to in my business–were telling me to work even harder and devote even more hours to achieve the level of success I desired.
At the time I didn’t realize I was allowing other people to dictate how I ran my life and my business. I went from a basically happy person to an emotional and overworked wreck. I spiraled out of control trying to achieve my business vision and didn’t know how to change my totally crazy workaholic behavior. This was not how I envisioned my life as an entrepreneur!
As I knelt on my office floor, I did the only thing I knew how to do–pray for an answer. I’d tried to change my out of balance life and out of control behavior on my own and nothing I did worked. It became obvious at that moment that I needed assistance to achieve my desired state of balance. At the least, I would certainly have to do some things differently. I didn’t know where to begin. Out of desperation, I looked for answers from a higher source….
From Heaven Above
Within a few days of my request for spiritual intervention, a friend who didn’t know what was happening shared with me that she learned how to change her life by increasing the divine help she was getting from above. Immediately, I wanted to know more.
Robinasked if I’d ever thought about hiring angels to help me create the life I desired. She’d just read a book called Hiring the Heavensby Jean Slatter that spoke of the many “unemployed angels” with specific talents and skills ready and willing to help those of us here on Earth. I simply needed to ask for their help, she explained.
“It’s very simple,” Robin told me. “For example, if you need computer help, you simply request an angel with computer skills to handle the challenge! If you misplace a ring, hire a spiritual detective angel to ensure that you find it.”
Wow, it sounded so simple! I realized quickly I needed to hire my angels and tell them what I wanted. I could use them for one task, to put together a specific business-building team, or to handle family obligations. Well, I thought, at this point in my life I’ve got nothing to lose—I might as well give it a try!
Though I considered myself a spiritual person, I’d never actively or consistently sought out the help of angels. At the time, I believed in the existence of angels—kind of–so figured I had nothing to lose. Immediately I began to hire away, and the results astounded me! For example, my dear friend Carol was getting married outdoors in the California hills, surrounded by beautiful red oak trees. The weather forecaster had predicted a full day of rain, and indeed there was a torrential downpour outside.
I couldn’t let this happen to Carol, so I said “I need a Perfect Weather Angel right now to clear the rain and bring out the sun! Caroldeserves a beautiful wedding day!” Within in five minutes of my request the rain stopped completely and the skies became crystal clear and a beautiful shade of light blue. Thanks to the angels, my dear friend had the most glorious outdoor wedding imaginable! At one point, just as she and her husband were saying their beautiful vows, we even saw the sun and the moon in the sky. From that moment on, I requested angelic help all the way through the next day–we never saw another drop of rain or cloud in the sky!
My angels created much magic in my life as well. Since starting my own business in 2004, I’d carried the weight of the world on my shoulders. I believed the success of my business was determined by how hard I was willing to work and the amount of hours I was willing to put in. That often meant working sixty to seventy hours a week and taking very little time off. If I continued that way, I knew over time I’d risk my health and physical well being.
From the moment I hired my first angel onto my angelic business-building team, I no longer felt alone. Immediately, help seemed available to me 24/7, and no task or challenge proved too big to handle. Since then I’ve employed on my business-building team a “Prosperity and Abundance Creator,” “Priceless Personal Assistant Angel,” “Master Marketing Angel,” “Positive People Plus Attitude Monitor Angel,” and many more!
As a result, new business opportunities popped up in the most unexpected and miraculous of ways. People began to ask questions and make positive comments.
“I see your business photo and name everywhere,” said one. “What are you doing?”
“How is your business growing so quickly?” queried others. Because the power of angels is meant to be shared (anyone can gain access to them), I was more than happy to explain how to hire angels to create incredible business growth to anyone open to this concept.
The Creation Of Joy
I’d lost my love for life for quite some time and replaced it with the concept that hard work was more important. Now seriously out of balance, my angels enabled me to reconnect with my sheer joy for life. With them on my side, I no longer felt like I was completely disconnected from my feelings of joy. These angelic helpers simply required that I was willing to help them create what I like to call “magical, miraculous, and magnificent” results in my life.
Once I learned to ask for specific help, I began to see the angels’ quickness and resourcefulness in my life. Implementing steps that I still utilize today, I opened my mind and my mouth to ask for specific help and didn’t wait until I was desperate. I know now that angels are not limited by the timing of a request, nor does it matter how big or small the task–my angels have proven to me consistently that they are willing to help me anytime, anywhere, and in anyway.
After I ask for help, I express gratitude. For me, real gratitude means celebrating the small changes that lead to abundant successes. Personally, I like to break out into a happy dance when I receive the spiritual support I’ve requested. When driving, I talk to my angels and love to give them spiritual high fives! Any time something wonderful happens in my life, I make sure to say: “Thank you, angels!”
Finally, I had to learn to have fun again and to let go in the process. That meant I had to stop trying to control everything and start looking for more ways to create joyous opportunities in my life. It became very apparent that the more fun I had in my life, the easier and quicker my angels were able to help me.
At times, when I’d begin to fall back into my old pattern of not asking for help and of trying to do everything on my own I’d call on my “Ease, Grace, and Fun Angel,” a.k.a. “Grace,” and yell out “Grace, I need your help! I’m doing it again! I don’t know how to let go and have fun!” Each time I asked “Grace” to intervene, a new understanding and ease overcame me and eventually the overworked and out of balance person I used to be disappeared. As a result, my business thrives with a lot less effort on my part…
Counting My Blessings
The day my friend Robin told me about the angels was the day I discovered how to once again have real fun and experience true joy. My angels set my spirit soaring and allowed me to reach a new level of ease I never thought possible. Now I envision new possibilities that I could never have created on my own with only human effort. The opportunities before me are truly limitless. My angels know no restrictions–they support, help, and love me at all times. Whatever I need, my angels answer all requests and ensure that each and every outcome is in my highest and best interests.
Little did I know how simple it could be! Finding a permanent and continuous path to absolute joy and fun in my life was simply a matter of calling all angels…

I came to you at a time in my life where I was married to an emotionally abusive partner and I did not see it, or I was not ready to acknowledge it and leave. I remember you recommended The Dark Side of the Light Chasers for my Dad, which ended up being a book that came back into my life again and was the catalyst to me actually beginning my emotional healing journey. Also at the time you asked me once what the “gift” of my husband’s alcoholism was, which was a question I could not answer and resented for a couple of years, until the one day I could finally answer it, and then catapulted me to ending the relationship peacefully and truly forgiving him.
I wanted to give you an update now that my son is about to have his 12th birthday in August. The arthritis you were trying to help me correct through nutrition and supplements went away instantly once I left my abusive marriage. Also an body odor issue I struggled with as well. I joined a Unity Church which is where I healed my spiritual beliefs that were poisoning me. I then attended school for Hypnotherapy with therapeutic techniques designed to empower people and allow them to tap into and utilize their internal wisdom. I am now married to an amazing partner, and have a blended family and my sons are growing into such inspirational, strong, wise young men it gives me such gratitude and faith.
Recently I had a new client who told me that she used to see a Naturopathic doctor for stress relief, and when I asked her for the name, she said Jean Slatter. I told her you were my inspiration to start my career in Holistic Health. I realized I wanted to thank you for the contribution you made to my life when I was young, vulnerable, and self-destructive. Thank you so much for the contribution you made to my life.
Just last week I heard your interview on the energized today online event. I loved it and bought the Kindle version the next day. I put it right to work and had results the first day.
I hired an expert auto salesperson as my son started working at a car dealership just out of college, and he hadn’t sold one yet, and I didn’t want him to get discouraged. He sold his first vehicle that night. I also sent one to my other son because he is trying to start a business and had some powersports items, like a motorcycle, four wheeler, etc., and he was getting really stressed. I talked to him yesterday, and he had traded a motorcycle for a boat and said for a few weeks nothing and then he starting getting a bunch of calls. I asked what day it was and he said Thursday.
I have a bathroom vanity to sell too that I had posted a buy and sell site on FB a few weeks ago. Nothing. So I said oh yeah, and I need a buyer for that, and a few hours later someone sends me an email and wants it.
I have such an active life that I am making a bunch of committees for all of the aspects of my life.
Just last night I was at the library and I was looking for a particular book, couldn’t find it. Went to the library catalog and the web was down on that computer. I thought it was the only one. Went back to the same area where it should have been and nothing. I just said, help me find this book. Kind of gave up, and was leaving only to see another computer with the library catalog. Sure enough they have it. I go back and look and couldn’t see it. I said another help me find that book, bam, there it was. I say thank you.
I have specialist hired for many different areas and situations. I hire them to help many others too as needed.
The biggest testimony so far, though, is the Sleep Magic Specialist that I hired. I have had the most incredible sleep. The first night I just asked for a Sleep specialist to help me get a deep, peaceful, well rested sleep. I slept so good. Then I added a dream specialist and dream interpreter and dream recall specialist, to help me remember what I need to from my dreams. I have some pretty fun dreams while I am getting a deep sleep. I also hired a life purpose/career coach and I always ask to show me things in my dreams. The other night I did my nightly thing and added the life purpose to it. I was deep in a dream and I heard a ding on my phone it seemed loud because it woke me up. And usually I put it on silent to sleep, so I was surprised that I heard it ding. I checked my phone and it was someone that I used to work with and my former boss was trying to get a hold of me about a job opportunity. I am in the middle of career change and was this a coincidence? I don’t think so.
Now I go to bed and I say out loud, Sleep Magic do your thing. I love sleeping now, it is such an awesome sleep.
Hiring the Heavens is an easy concept. I think the biggest thing is to just believe. I just ask for patience, and when I start sweating the small stuff I say, take it away and get your job done.
I have employed the help of angels many times but never thought of the idea of specialist. It has brought back a childlike faith that is playful and fun. It feels like life is an adventure and nothing is impossible, there is a specialist for assistance for anything we want to do.

Obviously with or without an actual copy of your book in my hand, I was not going to miss a moment in ‘testing’ out your experiences. Big mistake – I was already taking this way to seriously. I couldn’t help my self going into judgement etc..which was crazy, as I said before I already was quite at ease at asking the Universe for things. And have them show up in a recognisable way and especially in the last few months I was totally aware of all the synchronistic events that were taking place on an increasing regular basis in my life.
Anyway the first couple of occasions I just asked for immediate type help without much thought and with this – I’m ashamed to say, less than gracious attitude….and although the outcome on both occasions might have come via angelic assistance, it could also be argued that they did not. So last night before I went to bed I called in a team of celestial beings and had a long conversation of what type of help I would be requiring and what kind of committees etc etc and because this covered all areas of my life effectively I would need someone to project manage and tie all the pieces together in a workable schedule…so I appreciated that this might take a while to materialize.
As a house move has become necessary in the next few months, the completion of repairs was most definitely on the agenda and for sometime now I have need to replace a door between my lounge and hallway. As the hallway is quite dark I have always wanted this door to be an all glass panelled door – but hey if I couldn’t afford to buy your book right now the money for any type of door would take some scrimping and saving.
So anyway I look out of my kitchen window this morning and there someway down the road lent up against a wall is ….. a glass panelled door of the type I always wanted!
OMG! ..I couldn’t believe my eyes..I wasn’t even dressed. OMG! I threw some clothes on OMG! ..Panic! I have to get to this door before somebody else takes it away, I ignore the guidance that was urging me to relax and ‘go to the garage and get the low loader type heavy goods trolley that was there.
Naturally the door very heavy and I can’t lift it. What to d?.
” Calling all angels, calling all Angels I need some help here” I thought silently to myself.
Nothing!
Not a soul in sight. So very slowly I start ” walking” the door by myself down the street. Suddenly I hear foot step….., fantastic that’s quick I think, only to turn round and see this guy, I know this person…he wouldn’t lift a finger to help me, he just stares through me and jogs on..
I continue to’ walk’ this door down the road determined. I can make it with or without help but all the while hoping for some angelic intervention…
In quick succession two more sets of people appear – a man in a car, who again just stares at me as though I was crazy. He drives on without stopping. Minutes later two young children and their mother who are stunned into silence by this strange spectical of a woman who appears to be in some kind of demented dance with a door….they too move on by without offering to help.
The road is deserted again, in frustration I call out aloud to the Heavens, my tone determined and not without a hint of sarcasm “Come On! COME ON! I need some help here! The slow dance continues just me and my unwieldy partner – I am resigned, I can make it, it might take me about 30-40 minutes but i can make it ….so much for …… suddenly I look behind me and see a man fast approaching – ” Where are you taking this?” he says as he picks up the door as if it is a small child.
I indicate my building at the end of the street and he marches off so fast that I have to run to catch up with him.
Suddenly he stops and asks me if I will take a bag of shopping he is also carrying and if I would be s kind as to knock on the door of the house opposite saying to whoever answered “That the shopping was from Rock-a- Billy Daryll”….
Rock-a-Billy Daryll !? “What kind of name is that, I thought”?.. Nobody has a name like that! Except perhaps for a musician or an angel. – While I can’t say for sure if he was a musician or not but there was no doubt in my mind he was Heaven sent. .As we stride down the street this Rock-a -Billy Angel said he was on his way to lunch and had a taxi waiting at the end of the street which is why he was in a hurry but he continued to carry my door until he reached my front of my building . ” Bless you! Bless you!, Bless you!” I said my hands clasped in supplication.
Rock-a-Billy turned toward me placed both of his big, strong hands over mine and said ” Love you lots, Love You Lots” – and walked out into day…….
True story Jean! ..Don’t you just love it? I know I do!. Not only have I been saved the expense of buying a door, the door that I always wanted, but I was given the means to have it delivered to my door. But more than this, this Rock a -Billy Angel thought more of helping me than his awaiting taxi (meter ticking over) and his lunch date. …I am humbled.
Of course you may want to know does the door fit? Hmmm well not perfectly, I may have to pay a few pounds for a thin strip of wood to go around the door frame- but then I did not ask for a door that perfectly fit the frame did I?!!!!
