Guide for the Journey

Higher Guidance is the part of us that always knows exactly what is going on.  When we open communication with our Higher Guidance we are able to get direct answers to our most pressing questions.

Know that your Higher Guidance wants to be in communication with you and is, in fact, always in communication with you.   With your invitation, your Higher Guidance is ready to take you on an amazing journey of discovery.

You may be familiar with Higher Guidance (maybe under a different context such as “intuition”) but at times question your experiences because you have trouble distinguishing between the incessant chatter of the head and the true, clear messages of higher wisdom. Don’t feel alone; almost everyone struggles with sorting the chatter from the message.

My favorite method of receiving information and confirmation of Higher Guidance is through pendulum dowsing. I started dowsing over 20 years ago and have become a master at connecting with my own Higher Guidance and that of my clients.

In addition, I began recording my conversations with my Higher Guidance in a brand new form of journaling. You can easily learn to do Higher Guidance Journaling as well. Higher Guidance Journaling puts you directly in touch with the part of you that has the answers to any life question you could ever think up to ask.  This is where you get the grand “Ah ha’s” and realizations, and come to the knowing of your experience.

Once you feel confident about having an open communication channel with your Higher Guidance you will be able to align your life to flow effortlessly toward your higher purpose. Whenever I want to know the truth about something, I always go directly to the Source.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience.  The immense magnificence of who we really are is realized in this earth dimension of our creation; NOT as a god of unlimited power but as a purposely limited expression of God in order to explore thought forms.

Let’s use a card game analogy to help us understand this concept.  We go into a local card room and sit down at a table with some other people who want to have some fun. We accept that there are certain rules to the game and we agree to play by them.  Some cards are dealt to us, and some cards we get to choose.  Nobody thinks for one second that they get to play with the entire deck of cards.  Nor would we want to.  It wouldn’t be fair – or fun.

Likewise, when we come into this human game to create an experience we agree to play by certain rules, which include knowing that we aren’t going to be dealt the full deck.  It doesn’t even cross our Soul’s mind to ask to play with the entire deck.  We purposely have a limited number of cards that we’re dealt and some that our Soul gets to choose for us. That’s the hand we as humans get to play.  How we play our hand is entirely up to us.

Having fun

We are insatiably curious creators of experience.  Our Souls assign character-selves to explore an “I wonder…” thought of God’s. Thus it is with great enthusiasm that we enter into the earth game of being human. Part of what makes it so fun and intriguing is that we have purposely limited the number of “cards” we are dealt. This is how experience is created with some interesting unknowns thrown in. It now becomes a game of skill.  How can we accomplish our creation of experience playing the hand we are dealt?

I have read many books that disagree with me here, but my Guidance says some things are just not in the cards for us.  Self-help books proclaim:  you can be whatever you want to be.  This is just not true.  I can tell you with absolute certainty that I will never be able to compose music like Beethoven.  It’s not in my cards in this lifetime.  But I can also tell you that it is up to me to play the best game that I can with the cards that I’ve been dealt.

Asking What if…

A big part of the game is to ask what if…

Asking “what if” initiates the turning over of another card to see whether or not we have the energy to support our lofty dreams.  Could we become a world renowned architect and design a magnificent structure? Could we become a deep sea diver and make a fantastic new discovery? Maybe yes, maybe no.  We will only know if we ask “what if…”

The fact is, none of us are playing with a full deck!  That is NOT an excuse to check-out of the game of life.  Rather it is precisely the reason why the game of life can be so exciting and exhilarating.  We are all limited and enabled by the cards we are dealt – part of the exquisite chance of life.  Our character-self finds it exciting and challenging to discover all the cards on the table by asking “what if…”, and to skillfully play the hand that has been dealt and ingeniously maneuver each lay of the cards.

Creating Miracles

The Spirits of Creation – angels, divas, fairies, and a number of other entities from the spiritual realm, are interactive and want to assist you in the creation of experience.  My landmark book Hiring the Heavens talks at length about the Spirits of Creation and enthusiastic readers have sent me a flurry of miraculous stories that seem to leave no other explanation except divine intervention. The reason for this is deceptively simple and can be encapsulated in this drawing from my book.

Who you truly are

This one drawing tells an entire story of who we really are and the power of the heavens available to us to create miracles by divine intervention. For most people, the idea that God commands the angels is assumed yet for humans to do so is considered blasphemous. This picture clearly shows though who you truly are and why this is far from being blasphemous.

Hiring the Heavens is really about adopting a new paradigm of our relationship with God; one that puts us as an integral part, an extension even, of God. As such, we are being asked to consciously create our own world, fully confident in our seat of authority—and in our knowledge that the entire Universe stands joyfully ready to assist us.

The same Spirits of Creation that are in charge of holding the structure of the earth dimension in place are also responsible for facilitating the creation of experience.  Since God is experiencing through us, it is the divine within each of us that commands the Spirits of Creation; they are standing ready to intercede on our behalf and create miracles.

This is a divine gift to you by Grace. Rather than blasphemous, it is your divine birthright.

Realize there are no limitations in the spiritual world so when you summon the power of the heavens you open the door to synchronicities, chance meetings, serendipity and yes, miracles!

Dare to create miracles!

The Creative Mystic knows “it’s my world and it’s all for me.”

From the character-self perspective, the universe is so immense that we can’t possibly grasp it. So focus your awareness on your world, your sphere of influence, the people and experiences that you attract.

Rather than saying something bad happened “to” you, adopt the perspective that it was created “for” you. Everything in your movie is designed for you to experience. When you get out of feeling like a victim, you open yourself to the divine plan that’s constantly unfolding by you, for you, as God experiencing through you.

Knowing it is all your world, created just for you, helps you shift from complaining about all the things you have to do, to having profound gratitude that you “get to” experience life in this way. It helps you remember that you are here to know the truth of many aspects of life and through those varied experiences, know and give love.

A Creative Mystic translates the “have to’s” into “get to’s” and constantly looks at events as opportunities. Nowhere else in the universe can any of these experiences be played out. We are truly fortunate and blessed to “get to” do any of this.

The complexity of how an experience is designed for a human life in consciousness is quite extraordinary. When my Guidance explained it to me it was enough to make my head spin.

So let me try to explain…

God has an “I wonder…” thought, and that Souls are created by God to explore the experience of that thought (and this could be across eons of time).  Your Soul then assigns various character-selves to play out certain roles for the purpose of exploring and experiencing the “I wonder…” thought.  Each character-self is imbued with their Soul’s unique qualities of Light from its Creator God.

However, the Soul has guidelines to abide by when designing the experience and character-self.  The Soul has to design an experience operating within the parameters of the default programs of the Earth experience. These guidelines include the primary default program of duality, the physics of our universe, and the laws of Nature.  Note that the laws of Nature govern the procreation of all living creatures, humans being one of them.

This brings up a very important concept: the procreation of the human species is going on regardless of the Soul!  Humans procreate according to the Nature program just as every other creature does.  Are you shocked?  I was, and I’m not aware of anyone else espousing this concept.

Choosing the Earth Body

The Soul is responsible for creating a human character-self, and yet humans procreate according to the Laws of Nature.  So how does this all come together?

The Soul begins to design the exploration of the “I wonder…” thought and knows that it must follow the various guidelines.  This includes choosing an Earth body.

Have you ever heard the idea that we choose our parents? Believe it or not, that saying is somewhat true; and it’s all about the experience!  Actually, our Soul chooses the body in which it would like to manifest an experience. The Soul wisely decides the best logistical situation for each of its character-selves in which to incarnate that will facilitate the experience desired. The Soul then picks that human body (typically before birth) to “inhabit”.

Convergence of Information

Again, you must remember that everything abides by guidelines of “the experience.”  As each human is conceived there is a convergence of genetic information from both parents. This is part of the Nature program and is not influenced by the Soul.  In other words, you get what you get by chance.

At the moment of birth there is also a convergence of information from numerous sources that influence the personality, characteristics, and innate abilities and so on of an individual. These sources included information from the stars and sacred geometry of the universe.  This download of information is why astrology and numerology can give us such an accurate picture of many of our tendencies and characteristics.

Based upon the Soul’s strategic choices, the character-self is also downloaded with evolutionary consciousness programs such as the mind-set of a particular culture and family or even nation. Strongly held beliefs of mass consciousness are downloaded and become fairly rigid programs within which we operate. The Soul and its character-selves also carry over remembrance from past lives which include karma and strongly held personal beliefs that we develop.

Pulling it all together

It is mind boggling to try to grasp how we design a human experience.  The Soul finds this such an intriguing challenge that it desires this opportunity above all else. Truly life is a precious and extraordinary gift!

Did you Know You’re In a Very Strong Bargaining Position?

Your Light is unique and there is no one else that can express that Light. Therefore, you are in a very strong bargaining position. As I’ve said before (see the picture below), God knows itself by experiencing life through us. What most of us don’t know (or don’t remember) is that God needs us as much as we need God. It’s a two-way street.  The universe needs you to express your Light and you feel it as an inner “calling”.

Really understanding how you are needed by the universe may require letting go of some deeply conditioned thinking about your role in the cosmos.

Popular traditions promote the idea that we must submit ourselves to God’s will. It is not uncommon for people to say they felt “called” to a profession or service and they feel intuitively they are fulfilling the will of a higher power. Unfortunately surrendering to this will often gets translated into “I must obey the will of God to the exclusion of my own”.

I have seen the result of this thinking when I have met people that are fulfilling their inner calling by, for example, starting a business or moving to another location or some such endeavor and then have tried to answer that call with a devotion that is beyond reasonable. They have run themselves ragged and gotten horribly out of balance even to the point that they can no longer continue.

Negotiate Your Contract

If you were interviewing for a high-ranking position at a major corporation, you would never think of saying an off-hand “yes” to whatever they offered you. You would enter confidently and powerfully into negotiation to define your salary, responsibilities, vacation packages, hours, promotional opportunities, and much more. Your potential employer would do the same, evaluating your skills, background, and how valuable they believe you would be to their organization.

Most of us don’t realize that the universe operates in much the same way. Just because you feel “called” to a certain task or opportunity doesn’t mean that you don’t also have the opportunity to engage your will and negotiate your contract.

How do you know if your contract has been accepted? You’ll know because as you go along with your life and you’ll notice that things flow that way. The universe confirms that your terms have been accepted. If you don’t find yourself in flow then renegotiate your contract. Perhaps you wanted to work only 20 hours a week on a project and it’s requiring 30 hours. You could renegotiate to receive more monetary compensation for the extra hours, or maybe additional vacation time to make up for them.

Be bold and ask for what you want. Remember that God needs you in order to know itself. You’re the most qualified for the job of being you which means you’re in a great position to negotiate and get what you want. Then write out exactly what your terms are for accepting the position; articulate all the things that you most want just as if you were walking into a corporate office to negotiate an executive employment contract.

Co-creation is the ultimate win-win experience!

How did you get here? I mean, really. How is it possible that you showed up in human form with this thing called personality and an implausible consciousness and, even more astounding, an awareness?

Although this is a mystery that has prevailed forever, my Guidance has boiled it down to the most simplistic of terms.

It starts with God
Who then creates a Soul
Who then creates a character-self.

Let me explain. Our God Creator, an infinite being with no beginning or end, has zillions of ideas that it would like to experience and explore. The moment our God Creator has an “I wonder…” thought, numerous aspects of God are created to explore that thought.  Not just in one lifetime either, but in infinite lifetimes from every different perspective and timeframe.  This aspect of God is called your Soul.

This scenario goes on for eons of time, in every conceivable situation and context.  The possibilities of what God can experience through the Soul are endless.

The Creation of the Character-Self

Each Soul then creates a character-self or multiple character-selves to explore the “I wonder….” thought for this earth dimension. The Soul creates the character-self and designates a personality and life purpose for it. The character-self is like the character assignment in the production of a movie.  It is the person and role you will play designed specifically for the experience. The character-self is the individual human in earth terms.

My character-self is Jean Slatter – I have been “assigned” this role by my Soul to explore an “I wonder…” thought of God. I am the character-self creation of my Soul.

Who you truly are is more than the character-self of the person you donned here on the earth plane. Ultimately we are all One but we are acting out individuality for the sake of an experience.

As your Soul explores the thought form from your human character-self you will bring unique qualities of your Soul to the table. In fact, you cannot help but do that because you are creation of your Soul and you are vibrating as the Light of your Soul. Your experience is reflected back to God through your unique facets of Light of which you were made.

Your Soul Group

You, as your character-self, are not alone in exploring this “I wonder…” thought, by the way.  Many Souls create multiple character-selves to experience simultaneously from different perspectives. Not only that, but Souls themselves also related in much the same way as humans are related in a family. Have you noticed that sometimes you just have a “soul connection” to another person? Quite literally you do!

Most of your family and many of your close friends will be soul related in some way. They will be your Soul group. You might say they are your study group, your lab partners as you are exploring various aspects of the same thought form and experiment/experience on this earth plane.

As I said before, this scenario goes on for eons of time and in multiple dimensions, in every conceivable situation and context.  Each character-self that the Soul creates remains connected through the Soul. It is the Soul that is the keeper of experiential memories; for example, when we have remembrances of past lives it is actually a connection to our Soul that is providing a glimpse into another character-self. Also, it is the Soul that serves as the connecting point for the Soul Group. Whenever you have a “déjà-vu” moment or synergistic moment with someone else it is actually a connection through your Soul.

The Body of God

Quantum physicists are proving that we live in a holographic universe. Let’s use the analogy of a human body and notice that within the body are individuated cells much the same as individuated aspects of God in the body of reality. Even though each human cell contains the code of the entire human body, the cell has been limited or “assigned” to carry out a certain function such as being a liver cell or a skin cell. Each cell in our human body is contributing to the whole. In the same way, each component and Soul of this reality is contributing to the whole of God.

Similarly to a group of body cells working together to be a liver or brain or skin, your Soul group works together in this reality to explore an “I wonder….” thought of the Creator’s.

Born out of wonderment

You were born out of wonderment. When God Creator desires to know the experience of being a tribal leader, for example, God has the power to create everything necessary to experience this. An entire “stage”, so to speak, is created with the complete consciousness to play out that thought.  The Creator of the thought now becomes the tribal leader and as well as every other player in the experience. Whatever the mind of God can conceive of is being played out in consciousness.  The life we know here on earth is just that – an experiential thought in action.  It is amazing to know that we are born out of wonderment.

Your Soul’s Gift of Light

Your Soul is imbued with unique characteristics of God, of God’s Light. The fact is, there is no one else who can shine the Light of your Soul exactly the way that you do. Just like the sun, the rays of light emanate from the same powerful source but they are unique rays, nonetheless. If your “ray” is missing, then the full spectrum of light isn’t manifest.

Think for a moment about what your personal core Light essence is – what are the specials gifts that you have and that you are? The words that you come up with will be describing your Soul’s Light. Identifying this unique expression of your Soul’s Light energy is one of the most comforting and empowering realizations that you will ever have in your life because it will help you to know what you’re here to do.

Being and Doing

To discover the answer to why you are here and what your purpose is, you must first realize your unique gifts of spirit or in other words, your “Being and Doing” aspect of Light. The aspects of being and doing are completely interdependent. That means they cannot exist without each other. Whatever you are “Being” in your life causes “Doing” in your life, and the “Doing” in your life causes “Being” in your life. It is only in the doing that one becomes and because you are being that light you cannot help but do and because you are doing you become and round and round it goes.

Here are a few examples of “Being and Doing” that may give you more ideas of how this works and how it is expressed as your unique light.
